| Overview
This state of the art £11m business and industrial hub, formerly known as the Alker Lane development, is based on Euxton Lane in Chorley. Supported by funding from the central government ‘Getting Building Fund’ the development sees a mix of office and light industrial space. The spaces range from 500 sqft up to 5,000 sqft and have been designed to be as flexible as possible. The units are retained by Chorley Council as part of their commercial property asset portfolio and will provide employment opportunities in the area for many years to come. GCL have worked on the project from the beginning, supporting the Council as Client Side Development Manager advising on many issues ranging from consultant procurement, design development, cost management, contractor procurement and through into the delivery phase and handover. As a Chorley based consultancy, we are particularly proud to have been involved in such a landmark local project.
