Over the last 2 decades, the Gosling Consulting Limited team have played a major role in influencing the changing townscape of Chorley.
From the Booths / Wetherspoons development in 2003, the Primrose Gardens Extra Care in 2016, the Chorley Market Walk Extension in 2017, the Buzz Bingo demolition in 2021, to the Chorley Market Refurbishment in 2021, the Strawberry Meadows Business Park in 2022 and the Tatton Extra Care in 2023, we have been proud to help improve the town we call home.
We are thrilled, therefore, to continue this involvement with our appointment by Chorley Council as Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Support on the forthcoming Town Centre improvements and Civic Square development.
This scheme, following successful securing of a Levelling Up Fund award, will see the formation of a new civic square in front of the historic town hall which will act as a new destination in the town. The creation of a mixed use hub fronting onto the civic square, will also act as a focal point in the town for socialising. The delivery of high quality energy efficient homes in the town centre, enhancing the opportunity for people to live and work centrally and the refurbishment of the Union Street offices. Improvements to surrounding public realm makes this a truly transformation project for Chorley.
Dan Gosling said “we are absolutely thrilled to have secured this appointment in our home town, to bring forward this ‘once in a generation project’. We can’t wait to get started and see the transformation this scheme will bring”.
