| Overview
As part of Chorley Councils net zero carbon initiative, a scheme to decarbonise the Town Hall is being brought forward. The scheme also sees the refurbishment of the Town Hall and the repurposing of adjacent buildings to centralise Council functions and free up space elsewhere in the town. This project, whilst delivering modern office and public space, will support the Councils flexible working strategy and consolidate the current office spaces. GCL have been engaged as Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Manager, we will be advising on pre contract costs as part of the wider design team and ensuring that strict budgetary control is maintained. We will assist in the commercial development of the design and develop a suitable procurement strategy for engagement of a Contractor. Full Bills of Quantities will form part of the tender documents produced by GCL to be included in the tender process which we will manage. GCL will act as Quantity Surveyor through the construction phase, commercially managing the works to completion.
