We have been appointed by Forestry and Land Scotland to provide commercial expertise as part of the development of a Full Business Case and Pre-Tender work on the forthcoming improvements to the visitor experience at Dalbeattie and Newcastleton.
The ambition is to promote sustainable growth in visitor activity at both of these 7 Stanes destinations by developing greater diversity in activities and broadening accessibility to the forest. This will support enhanced forest tourism in the region and help build strong partnerships to deliver increased visitor numbers and spend, extension of the tourism season and promotion of inclusive economic growth as part of the “Destination Borderlands” theme of the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal.
